An Area of Outstanding Beauty
The second largest island in Thailand, Koh Chang is renowned for its natural beauty, including long stretches of stunning coastline, waterfalls, temples and an abundance of coconut trees. Nearby, the fascinating archipelago of Koh Chang National Marine Park and the incredible diving sites ensure endless opportunities for exploration and discovery. Just a 45-minute flight from Thailand’s capital Bangkok will take you to Trat International Airport (TDX). The resort is then a further 70-minute journey, using the ferry service to cross at the mainland pier Ao Thammachat, which is home to the fast ferry service to the island. Boats depart every 45 minutes of when full, with a duration of 30 to 40 minutes.

After arrival at Trat Airport, there are two options for your onward transfer to the island.
Ferry to Koh Chang
Ferry Koh Chang leaves from Ao Thammachat Pier (Trat) on the mainland taking approximately 25 minutes to arrive at Ao Sapparod Pier (Koh Chang) on the North East coast of Koh Chang. Most private transfers, minibuses from Bangkok and minibuses from Trat Airport will use this pier.
The Ferry departs every 45 minutes or when full, starting services from 6:45 am until 7:00 pm. Ticket prices (one-way): THB 80 per adult, THB 30 per child, THB 100 per car.
Trat Airport - Amber Sands
Amber Sands can arrange a collection from the port for you as you embark the ferry, greeting you upon arrival and assisting you to your final destination of the resort. Arrangements for this transfer can be arranged alongside your booking for the resort.
